CollEx-Persée

CADIST in Chemistry and Pharmacy from 1980 to 2016, the Lyon 1 University Libraries are now associated with the CollEx-Persée scientific interest group, which aims to renovate the CADIST network (Centers for the Acquisition and Dissemination of Scientific and Technical Information) by placing services at the heart of collection projects.
Thanks to cross-funding from the Ministry of Higher Education, the National Library of France and the Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University over more than 35 years, the Lyon 1 University Libraries were able to build up reference funds in the fields of chemistry and pharmacy.
These funds have been labeled Collections of Excellence for Research at the national level for the period 2018-2022.

Heritage Collections

Special Collections (items anterior to 1920) were created in 1896 when the University of Lyon was founded.

The Special Collection items come from different sources: they were acquired in the 19th century, given in donations by the doctors and their families from Lyon and transferred collections from the library of the Lycée impérial de Tournon and partly from the Great Seminary (Grand Séminaire).
